At O’Charley’s, our service goes well beyond our dining rooms. Giving back to the communities we are blessed to serve has been a priority since we first opened our doors in 1971 and it remains at the forefront of everything we do today.
Whether it’s stepping up to help during times of need, standing up for everyday heroes in our community or lending a hand to those who are can use help – serving our neighbors is an everyday focus at O’Charley’s.
At O’Charley’s, we live by the mantra ‘do good by serving.’ We live that out every day by looking for ways to serve our guests – at our tables, curbside or with delivery – and throughout our communities.”Craig Barber, CEO of O’Charley’s
Here are just a few of the ways we give back:
Hometown Heroes is our giving back initiative to express appreciation to everyday heroes that serve all of us in so many ways – doctors, nurses, firefighters, police officers, teachers, relief workers, community volunteers and more.
Hometown Heroes encompasses everything from special discounts, free meal deliveries and deploying the official O’Charley’s food trailer to feed communities impacted by natural disasters
The Folded Flag Foundation
We support military families through our relationship with The Folded Flag Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides educational scholarships and support grants to the families of our country’s fallen heroes. Over the years, we are proud to have raised more than $1,500,000 for this incredible Foundation (where 100% of all monies received go to the families with $0 administrative costs).
An initiative we started in 2020 is the Songwriter’s Café, a virtual concert fundraiser series, to raise funds for the Foundation. With our headquarters located in Music City, USA, we’ve been able to access some of the entertainment industry’s top artists to lend their voices to this important cause.
For more than 15 years, we have been honored to support Second Harvest of Middle Tennessee in its mission of feeding those in our Middle Tennessee community who may be hungry.
Throughout our long relationship with Second Harvest, we have donated the equivalent of 2.4 million meals to individuals and families in need. We have worked together on a variety of initiatives, including our 2020 contribution to make sure children stay hunger-free when school cafeterias close for the summer.
